The government is planning to build up the Software
Technology Park, the Aerospace Technology Park, and the Third
Science Park, which specializes in precision machinery and
biotechnology, in the central Taiwan. It is anticipated that the central
Taiwan is going to form a "technology corridor."
The institution was officially recognized as Hsiuping Institute of
Technology in 2000 and moved to the area of Dali Industrial Park in
2001. Based on defining as an "Industry-Academy Cooperative &
Teaching-oriented University," the Office of Extension Education
integrates related training technology and training resources to assist
local businesses to cultivate competent manpower for meeting their
demands.
The 21st century is an era of lifelong learning-an idea which the
Office promotes to provide more learning opportunities and options
for people. The Office also creates a system of professional
certification and channels of supplying professionals to achieve the
vision of lifelong learning for all.
