Department of Applied English
The Department aims to cultivate outstanding students who meet
the demand for foreign language fluency and develop competent
professionalism in the fields of economics, commerce and information
management. Besides courses in English, the Department also
provides courses such as Secretarial Practice, Business in Theory and
Practice, Computers, and general studies. Farthermare, students will
be coached to pass the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) and
certification examination of practical skills. In the near future, the
Department will concentrate on creating academic cooperation with
sister universities abroad to promote cultural and academic exchanges,
which involve programs on exchange students and short-term study
abroad.

Department of Applied Japanese

The Department aims to cultivate students with intermediate or
advanced level of proficiency in apanese. In addition to basic
language skill training - listening, speaking, reading, writing, and
translating - relevant courses, such as trade, business, secretary skills,
and tourism, are also designed for students to broaden their learning
on business. The Department particularly focuses on assisting students
to pass Japanese language proficiency tests. In addition, by promoting
cooperation with industries, the Department hopes the students put
into practice what they have learned. The Department is currently
working on establishing academic cooperation with universities in
Japan, such as contracting sister universities and conducting exchange
student programs. Through academic exchanges, students will have a
better nderstanding of Japanese culture and society and improve their
competence that is necessary for further studies or jobs.
